Do you know if installing this unit voids part of Land Rover warranty on car?
I've sold over 50 of these units to Range Rover owners and no one has reported a problem regarding warranty. If you're that concerned about warranty then all you need to do is remove the unit and put the stock unit back in before you take it in for service. There is no way for the dealer to even know that this unit was installed unless you tell them.

Just to confirm I used to work for LR and can confirm that this would NOT invalidate your warranty, as they're only concerned about the engine ie if you remap it etc. And even then you can stick in a plug n play chip and remove it without trace so there's no issue.

Go for one of Ray's units they are a really good buy, his after sales service and help is second to none....and you won't be disappointed.

I think it's best not to even inform the dealer of this unit being installed...just to be on the safe side. Every dealer is different
So from what I’ve been reading calls through CarPlay do no work unless you get a separate mic? That is even if it’s wired connected CarPlay? I don’t care much about oem Bluetooth connection as long as I can connect to CarPlay and make calls that way (Bluetooth disabled)

The Android unit has a microphone included and it works with CarPlay when you have the Range Rover bluetooth disabled. You can still use the Range Rover bluetooth as well but you will have to manually switch the call audio routing on your iphone when making or receiving a call.

In regard to the noise when using the AUX input, I've found that this unit completely cuts it all out without any Audio degradation - PAC SNI - 1/3.5mm Ground Loop Noise Isolator.
I went through a couple of different brands and all of them cut the lows out. This one works a treat! :)
Did you install this with the Android unit? If so, can you please provide more detail like how you installed it?

Not got the Android unit yet. Waiting on the one that you're shipping out to me! :) I currently have the Navi-plus installed, but can't wait to switch out to the Android unit.

The PAC SNI just goes in line between the output of the box/head unit and the Aux input in the center console (L494), I'm sure its the same in the L405.

See attached pictures.
I put an aftermarket tray in the center console so it hides the cables etc.

This little unit completely got rid of that annoying whistle/noise in the background.

The Android unit does not plug into or connect through that AUX input. It's actually wired into the harness.
