I curious to know whether it would be best to replace the entire left front axle or simply the outer cv boot on my current axle for my 04 RR-HSE?

Also, if I do end up replacing just the cv boot on the axle, will it fix my current issue of making slight noise when I turn or will it continue to make it even upon replacing it and filling it in with the grease provided? Any help would be greatly appreciated, since this would be my time doing this repair on my RR. Thanks once again.

My advice would be to replace the entire half-shaft axel, including the greased boot. I researched this when I needed to fix mine, at approx. 120,000 miles. I bought the part from O'Reilly Auto Parts, here in Madison, WI. Part # MPV 60-9217 CV Shaft. It was only $118 + a $50 'core charge' - I got a local shop to fit for about $100, took the old shaft back to supplier, and got $50 refunded.
