gwengler, obviously you do have a problem recommending me because you keep mentioning 4x4Shop.ca even though you have followed me on this forum to gain all the info you could in regards to these Android units...I understand that's where your loyalty is at but let me just give you a little history on the 4x4Shop.ca. When I first discovered these Android units last year, the 4x4Shop.ca was one of the first companies that I tried to contact. They had the 10.25" Android 7.1 unit listed at over $1500 on their website at the time. I was willing to pay this amount because I was so desperate to have something a little better than the OEM system. Anyway, after I emailed them twice and no response, I then continued to search and found Andy who works for Canavie. I ended up purchasing my first unit from Andy and I really don't want to get into all the details but to make a long story short, I had problems and Andy wasn't very helpful. Don't get me wrong, Andy is a great guy but he just wasn't very helpful when it comes to the technical stuff. Most of the things about the unit I had to learn on my own through trail and error...
Having owned my AB for a few months now i'm starting to look at options to at least get better Nav on the main screen and better music integration/control and I've come across this https://youtu.be/ZZS4wiJdBgY https://4x4shop.ca/product/vogue-land-rove...n-android/ I know it's a lot of...

Anyway, after doing further research, I found out that Canavie was not the company that made these units but they purchase them at wholesale and offer them at retail. My friend, Simon, in the UK told me that Merryway is actually the company that manufacturers these units. This is when I got the idea to contact Merryway directly and work out a deal with them to sell these units myself. After working out the deal with Merryway, I've spent countless hours on the WeChat app to help the Merryway owner and engineers further develop these units into what you have installed in your Range Rover today. The feedback from the initial trial and error of my very first unit install is what they used to improve the unit overall and I continue that feedback with them for further development and bug fixes. So you see, all the information that 4x4Shop.ca is able to provide to their customers is due to all the work that I've put in with the engineers to help improve these units. Many late nights and early mornings for me because China is about 15 hours ahead of my time hear in California. I think my customers speak loud and clear in regards to my after sales support and I highly doubt if Canavie or 4x4Shop.ca can match that. I've shared all the info that I have with this forum and there has been some that have taken that info but choose to purchase from Canavie or 4x4Shop.ca due to their lower prices. I've also made myself available 7 days a week for customers that need assistance or technical support. With all that being said, it's obvious to me that there are a lot of people that will visit this forum for information that I have provided regarding the Android head units. However, there's no loyalty when it comes to who or where you will purchase the unit from especially when it comes down to saving a little money. Anyway, I totally understand that's just business and I'm not mad at anyone who's trying to stretch their dollars as far as they can. So now in order for me to keep my small business afloat, I have had to lower my prices to match the prices of Canavie and 4x4Shop.ca. Those 2 companies have been in business for way longer than I have and they move way more product than I do. Therefore they have way more room than I do to adjust their prices according to the market. Anyway, I will continue my contribution to the rangerovers.net community and hopefully I will continue to do well here in the USA market selling these units.
