New '08 RRS SC (pics!) - Quick EAS question and missing mystery piece?
Hi all!
Prior Disco owner here who just bought his first RRS! I picked up an '08 SC with 60K on the clock. It's black on black, and I love it so far! I've been reading a ton of threads on this forum trying to get up to speed on a few issues. I love that this seems to be such a great community - I really enjoyed the group over at discoweb.org.
Regarding the EAS, I have the yellow fault light showing. Normal height is fine, drives no problem. And, it will stay parked at off-road height all night so I know the bags aren't leaking. I can adjust the suspension up and down when the start the vehicle before the fault light comes up. From reading dozens of threads on here, I think it's probably the desiccant/drier canister on the compressor (and/or the relay). I'm going to order new ones of each and see if that does the trick. Does this sound right to you guys?
The only other thing that's odd is there's a missing trim/grille piece on the lower front fascia. Looking at some threads in the full-size RR forum it sounds like they're calling it an air intake bezel. But, I can't seem to find anything via Google for the RRS. Any ideas about a part number or where I could look? It's a plastic honeycomb insert in the lower valence below each fog light.
Besides these two things, I think the truck is in great shape. The keyfob seems to like being pressed hard... otherwise it won't signal. I guess the actuator components are wearing out, perhaps?
I attached a few pictures below of the new truck. Also included one picture of my other toy, and, one picture hinting at what I do for a living. Can anyone guess?
Excited to be here,
Ben
