How are you liking the X pipe? I talked to the shop i’m going to and they said they’ve done almost 30 SVR’s and they always do straight pipe (straight to the muffler, with cats). I mentioned X pipe but he said straight was my best bet.

 

I also did the straight pipes on mine (not SVR) - sounds great and no droning.

Quicksilver Exhaust modification to quiet the drone?

I installed a Quicksilver exhaust on my RRS 5.0/V8 dynamic this morning. My initial drive was like 'wow, perfect!' Nice growl when accelerating. Cabin noise was not even noticeable in that short drive. Then this afternoon I took it on the highway. Not so happy. It seems maybe between 1500-2000...

Looking for recommendations - would like to remove the resonator from my 2022 SVR

Considering either:

(1) Milltek centre silencer bypass (believe this is the Urban Exhaust Mod?) or
(2) Cobra Sport x pipe SVR

(2) Cobra Sport x pipe SVR

Just take a look at it and you'll see this is exactly the same as Militek, since there is no actual crossing of the pipes, they are merely superficially welded together.

 

Don't bother wasting your money on fancy exhausts: go to your local exhaust shop and have them make an X- or H-pipes setup to replace the resonator and centre silencer.

Cheap as chips and will pop & crackle on overrun!
