I've always been a Range Rover fan... Ilike the 2012 design of the Range Rover, and I like the people here. And thisnew DESIGN, it's a STRETCHED OUT GAUDY BMW 5 for crying out loud! It's BORDELLO BOX, Soft, unclear and vague!
Obviously...folks at Land Rover are intelligent human beings... and will soon restore oursharp, CLASSIC RESPECTED LOOK, in 2014...Right? Or Not.

Do we want to buy the new Range Rover with THE CLASSIC look (in 2014 and2015)... or the cheap "KIA"style of suckered look?

Our community MUST stand up to those aloofminds at the design department... because the look symbolizing our passionis coldcocked!

Your action is what makes the difference -- send a letter, write an e-mail, getyour blood bumping and express your dissatisfaction RIGHT NOW by sending them aletter!

Except for the foul language that had to be removed I have to agree. Heaven forbid though that someone should voice a negative opinion of the new design as someone might get their patties bunched up.

On a realistic front letters and emails certainly wouldn't do any good for design. It MIGHT, at a stretch, press folks to come up with a smaller sized wheel that is more appropriate for off pavement travel. Letter might also do some good for an earlier release of diesels here in the States.

I dont think it's that bad, if they edged out the front for the blocky tank look like the l322 , i think it would look perfect. maybe theres a trend, 1st RR blocky and nice, 2nd RR too curvy and meh :/ , 3rd RR back to classic boxy style, and 4th RR back to the curvy p38 style. So i guess we need to wait for maybe 2020 when the 5th Classic blocky style comes back.

Personally, think it is a huge improvement over the past models while keeping the key design cues. Question for you is have you seen in person? In my opinion, is stunning in person, particularly when next to last years model.

I guess the true message if you don't like it is don't buy it. If you do, then buy it. sales will ultimately determine.

I've always been a Range Rover fan, and I like the 2012 design of the Range Rover. Some lines of the new design look similar to some models of the BMW 5 series...
But, heck, this is not the most shocking part. Compared to the previous RR models, it's soft, unclear and vague -- like KIA.
It's much SOFTER... almost like the designers this year have lost their SHARP minds. Soft, girly, smooth -- Not so CUTTING EDGE anymore...New Range Rover has become a girl's car. Great news, if you are girl.
Getting rid of the BMW thing might do the trick, right?

I saw on over the weekend while driving in Milwaukee. It still seems to hold much of the Range Rover road presence. Was on the highway so I didn't get a long/great look at it, but it definitely stood out to me and I was impressed with my first initial, however brief, in person look at it. I will be looking into getting one sometime around Summer, and will be test driving soon. Depending on when 2014's are going to be released I may wait for those to make sure the bugs are worked out of the first year models, but I don't know if I can wait longer than until the summer to get one.

i doubt they'll have the bugs worked out in 2014, my guess 2014 will just be a carryover, usally it takes 2-3 years before they actually fix major issues. The 03-05 l322 is a good example, nothing really got fixed until 06+ jag units. so probably have to wait until end of 2015 for the 2016 model XD, which should have fixed most first production issues. Also would bring good balance between fixed problems and car body style being new for 4-6 years more.

When I first saw pictures of the 2013 RR I wasn´t very happy about it. For me, it was a grown-up Evoque.

I got an invitation to the VIP preview in Germany in the end of 2012, but I declined with thanks. I bought a brandnew 2012 aintree green RR sc in November instead.

But then, something happened. I really love the 322, but I got more and more interested in the 405. I called my dealer who sent me the 405 catalogue and I read it like I read Stephen King´s thrillers when I was a kid.

I got an invitation to the Hamburg preview of the 405 last week, where I could have a special look on this great car. In real life it looks so much better than on any picture I´ve seen before.
It is a Range Rover and it is the modern rendition of a classic piece of art.

I test drove the car on the next day and ordered my 2013 last saturday.

Can´t wait to get it! Yes, I know about some issues and after a horrible time with a brandnew Merc CLS in 2004 (one of the first delivered) I did not ever want to have first series new car, but I could not resist.

Demo car was a SDV8 Vogue in black over black/ivory. German dealers usually not order the SC as a demonstration car, because of its costs. But as I know the 510hp I ordered it and look forward to feel the better power because of the reduced weight.

Did you know that a 550hp engine COULD be an option in future? Facelift will come in 2016...

Cheers
