I am actually surprised the wait is that short. I would have thought by now they'd be sold out for the first 3 years, given everything that's going on in the car world. As for dealer inventory, I would guess the dealers will each get a demo or two but they will not sell them right away.

 

no mass produced car i know of is ever sold out for 3 years. on paper the "sold" list might as well be written with pencil (not ink) and on toilet paper as people on the list drop like flies every week. covid has affected the world alot- but under ordinary circumstances once those cars start being produced they build up inventory fast.

 

Anyone have any updated ship dates, I was told mine is on boat on the way here. What dock do east coast deliveries head to?

 

Last I checked, they said mine was to be built on 4/8. I plan on reaching out to my SA on 4/9 or so to see if it was actually built.

When did you order if you don’t mind me asking? I place a deposit in January and since then it’s been crickets. I was told then about 12 months, but I’m not sure if they are at my reservation number just yet.

I just spoke to the dealer. They are saying 12 months. In a holding pattern. I put a deposit on the EV. You would think they would want to build more EVs now to get the word out. but i guess not. Oh well

Dealer just sent me email to advise of price increase and the wait is stated to get longer ~13mos.

We are being hit with a $10k market adjustment premium which was a little frustrating since they didn't mention that for 4 months, but since we have equity in our 2019 it will cover the difference.

that's really not cool! I'll need to decide what to do if/when my dealer does the same thing.

 

It's bad enough to pay MSRP, everyone is using any excuse they can to charge people more which is crap. 10k add just because... nope, I'd walk.

 

It's very frustrating but it's a hot car in a hot market (Bay Area) so we don't really have much choice. If we don't buy it they'll sell it immediately to someone else for $30k over asking.

 

My SA told me delivery is not anticipated 7/15, so pushed back a month. Haven't checked to see if the build was moved. Will check again mid May, since it is supposed to be built May 13

The wait won't bother me no matter how long it is - but I won't pay a penny over MSRP. If they try to dick me - they can sell it to someone else who doesn't mind getting gouged.

this looks like a dealer showroom car (notice the "Demo Pack") that they each get exactly 1 of & they're not supposed to be sold in short order. So I'd say this is just marketing - now they can actually show them before someone puts in an order.

 

Must only be in high volume markets, none of our local dealers have one "Austin or San Antonio"

Here is mine. It was changed to MY23 just like others here.

 

My build (SE) now shows Pixel LEDs added for $550. I had not ordered them as there was no option on MY22. Does anyone that had their SE build change to MY23 from MY22 have Pixel LEDs added?
I am not complaining here just wondering if this is a one off or happening to everyone.

 

I've pre-ordered one, dealer says estimated delivery date (best case scenario) is oct., although I don't think that is going to happen because the specs and equipment haven't even come out yet

 

I was sent this from my dealer, does this mean my truck will be here in July? Usually I see more dates (like build date, last amendable date etc)...

Ordered a SWB just over 3 months ago, so dropped a line to my salesperson asking for an updated ETA. She said Q1 2023. Not sure I can hold out!

 

I did too in February but my sales person says production should pick up in the upcoming months and he will have a better eta then. I think things could speed up and you could get it sooner.

I just checked on mine - LWB/V8/5 seat/Autobiography. Order finalized 4/15 with delivery estimated on 7/29 when submitted. Was told by my SA "probably looking at October because no VIN number yet." Hoping for a summer delivery.

 

Here is the latest from my build. My at retailer date changed to 7/8.
