Ride Height

Hello Everyone,

Had my SE 400 since August. Everything has been great besides a bit of excess cabin noise from wind and road (I believe I can ask dealer to maybe do a road test and check if any gaps in seals ).

However within the last 2-3 weeks im noticing something (or at least I think I am seeing a difference) is that the ride height of the truck is a bit higher in the normal setting, and that when you park your truck up after driving and open the door it usually used to go into access mode and lower itself. I find it now even after returning to the truck after it has been parked for 30 minutes its at a pretty high ride height (almost more than normal setting). It is very odd that the truck just feels higher than it ever did at normal driving and it doesn't really go into access (low height mode) unless I click it (No the convenience setting in menu has not changed).

Also I used to (as much as I can and sitting in traffic, lower the truck clicking the button on driver side) and even tried locking in on the screen, but the minute it reaches some speeds it raises. Is there a software plug in tune that can keep the ride height lower? I am going to maybe getting lowering links and see if that helps.

But why did the convenience of it doing it on it self just magically disappear... It is just like the unlock lock proximity sensors... it doesnt do anything but add a second of more work involved but the added convenience is whats expected for a truck of this caliber.

Yes I do see your point I you have it why can’t you use it! Well I would think you need a plug in scan tool to determine what went wrong rather than guessing. Electronics are sent to test us you know.

You might want to have the dealer look into the compressor as well. My Sport Autobiography (2016) did something odd as well. Upon lowering to the access height it would immediately go back up to the normal ride height and sometimes off-road height. Turns out there was a faulty valve in the compressor causing this issue.

I concur. There is some logic in the compressor control logic that will not vent air to lower the vehicle if it has detected a possible leak somewhere. I believe it states that in the user manual somewhere. Time to get the error codes checked.

I had one strange thing happen when I had the automatic lower turned on. I started the car, moved it and shut it off and locked it. Basically just moving it in my driveway. When I returned to the vehicle it was access height on only one side and higher on the other. That only happened once though.

Also it seems after the 3.3.0 software update the normal height is a little higher and seems to ride a little firmer. I didn't measure or anything so I could be wrong but it seems to have changed a little.
