LOL... When I took delivery of the vehicle there was two metal rings in the glove box that I had no clue what they were for until I wanted to remove mine.... Look for the clips..they are actually removal tools. you have to push them into the two holes to release the metal clips securing the click-n-go base.

They are the same. We have the Tray option and hooks in other manufacturers vehicles as well. You need the little key. If you need to remove it go to the dealer and just borow one while you are there. Once inserted the clips pop right out.

 

I used 2 really small, thin, flat head screw drivers. Inserted them simultaneously and levered them bit to squeeze the clip. It came out without too much of a struggle
