So I picked up JazeJeffs intake yesterday from him and I installed it this morning. I must say that it was a pretty easy install, took about 30 min with minimal tools, and I had never installed one before. Youll notice that i have the sensor unplugged in the last pic, well i tried to start the car like that cause i forgot to plug it in, and suprise suprise it did not like that.

Can it be color coded?

Has anyone w a new intake tried to convert the old airbox into a warming oven? This might be my next mod.

Looks good jeff. Sound clips would be cool to hear , all I used for mine was a sony camcorder and it captured the sound just right.

And no Goose , my camcorder is not color coded......

I turned it into a charcol grill, but you know I had to color code it first.

Yeah jeff! SOUND CLIPS, you know, like what I did... I spoil you guys

well for the noo-B's here is what it sounds like. An intake is an intake, they all sound the same, except when the intake pipe gets larger in diameter the sound gets deeper. So it should souns just like this, if of course you also have a Borla system. (make sure you use a good sound system to get the "real" effect. right now Photobucket is lagging a bit...)

For those of you waiting for the clip, I'm imagining it sounding a bit like this now...is this close Jeff?

Edit: removing original link--MO topped it.

I will agree with MO. This summer an F-22 Raptor took off from LI MacArthur Airport during the Jones Beach Air show and flew in very close proximity to my house (which is a couple of miles from there) and Holy Good Lord is that thing Loud/Awesome/Amazing....Ect!!! The you tube videos doesnt do it justice, makes the hair on your Nu*ts, ummmm i mean neck stand up.

Bottom line: What is the HP increase with this addition? How hard is the hook up?
Either way an intake is not going to make an RRS go any faster, not possible to do that alone, you'd need a complete overhaul of the engine to notice any difference. Personally I think the only reason for a performance intake on the RRS is to make it sound beter. Sort of like adding an exhaust system, its really not for gains but for the sound it makes. by adding an intake it will give your exhaust a deep pitch, and if you have an aftermarket exhaust system already it will sound perrrrrfectabout 100 times bette than the oem sound. Just dont expect too much out of just an intake on a 7000lb tank.

regardless its a must have.

Finally installed my CC intake this morning. Yes, it took about 30 minutes, very easy to install and everything fits right. (I won't talk about the intake I installed on a Challenger this week---Yuck). Overall, the quality of this intake is top notch. Nice, high-polished finish, good fitting filter, all the brackets lined up. You can really tell there was a lot of R&D in this system to get it to fit right. The heatshield plugs right into the factory holes. Now, on to the performance aspect... I did notice a little difference. A little more "oomph", which is exactly what I was looking for. I know it's not going to give me 50hp, but I would say there is a noticeable difference, maybe 10 hp. Thumbs up to Custom Creations, great job on this unit.
