Hello All,

I had my 08 RRS in the dealership two times for lousy radio reception. I just
received it back today and they put a brand new radio in the truck.

The reception is just as bad as it was before. Any idea?

AM and FM, or just FM? or XM?

 

Loose antenna connection at the fin?

 

Have your dealer, replace the am/fm signal amplifier. It is located in the right rear headliner mounted behind the ceiling speakers, that is connected to the glass mounted/glued anntenna on the, right rear fixed glass. On mine they also found the anntenna wire coming from the dash board , under the center console near the fridge was slightly broken, and grounding out against a screw. after all that was found & replaced it's been 10 times better with FM stations. ( took them 14 hours to do it all according to the work order/reciept all under warr)

It is the AM / FM Radio Reception which is not coming in. I have not activated
the Sirius yet, however, I am planning on it.

The truck is going back to Landrover.

 

I bet you have the same problem i had... screw in the wires from the front to the back... They'll have to take seats, center console, and flooring out of it to repair it. I'll search and see if I have pics of mine completly ripped apart. Only reason why I trusted them to do it, was because they had the northeast regional tech at the dealer ( and I personally know the owner and GM of the dealership) for 2 days and I insisted him and the shop foreman were the only ones to work on my truck or to order me another brand new one.
