Is there only one shop involved in all of these smog checks? They might be the issue.
My records show that a P0100 is a MAF (mass air flow - sensors sits on top of the air intake near your air filters) issue - NOT a speed sensor.
You can try to clean them, but I would just replace them, they are relatively inexpensive and a regular service item. It's an easy DIY - you just need a screwdriver and new sensors.

My apologies, but I got the error code wrong.
I edited on the original post and fixed it.

The error code is actually a P0500 error code. The code is showing up at 3 different Smog Shop's, my Indie shop,
And Land Rover San Francisco.

according to what I can find - the P0500 is specific to the wheel sensors (P0720 would indicate transmission sensor). with the right scan tool you could check live data to see what wheel sensor is failing - the shop could also check each sensor with a multimeter instead of just randomly putting a new ones on. This would also tell you if you have a bad sensor or a bad wire/connection.

 

Interesting, now I'm looking at the 3 smog reports that I failed . My RR first went to the shop because the check engine light was on.,
The Indie shop replaced some of the O2 sensors, and the engine light went off.
But before that, the car did not pass smog,
But there was no speed sensor error code.
The speed sensor error code shows up after the work was done on the RR.
So I have 3 failed fog reports due to speed sensor error code that only shows up after the original work ( replace O2 sensors and AC work) was done on the RR.

The shop tested each sensor and they're all functioning properly.
I asked them to go in anyway and replaced the right rear sensor just to see if the error would clear, since I posted this on another board and someone had the exact same problem with their ABS sensor, and they replaced the right to clear the air and fix it. So I was thinking the "A" might have designated the right rear sensor.

So it might be a malfunction with the onboard computer.
Quite the mystery, but I'm still getting that error message.

it’s a dubious fault relating to can signal quality from the ABS module. find someone with a kess and just get the dtc deleted

Is a " Kess" a diagnostic tool?
I did take it into San Francisco Land Rover dealership and they did a reset / or reboot
And still, the error code shows up.

So not sure if you were referring to what the dealership did above or if this is something new, I should try.
