Have fun reading/watching!

You guys are just not asking the right question.

Is she SIZZLING HOT??? The Rangie? The GF? Of course we need pics of both to be sure how best to proceed.

Can you get a "doner" vehicle? A LHD, preferably one that was nice then got hit in the back by a big truck? Then you have the parts and the manual, in 3D. Of course, there will be wear items you may wish to replace, but I would definitely want a 2nd vehicle to get parts from.

Well..... If the GF is hot will always be a question for you guys  The Rangie how ever: The coolest car I've had so far

About getting a donor-car: I could have done this. Problem is, I have no space where I can rip it in pieces. So, I just made a list of what I needed, found some guy thru internet who had a donor he used for the body and engine, and from that car I got all the parts. I must say: converting a Range Rover from RHD to LHD is no problem at all. Even without a propor donorcar as a 3-D manual it can be done. Now, I must be honest.... I used to work as a mechanic for 10 years 8)

Congratulations on a job done !

Many hands to do the job is a bonus & you have 10 years in the trade as well !!!
Won't be long now til you're talking, living & breathing Range Rovers....... all aboard !

Someone say something about a girlfriend...... hurrrhummmm ahh yes your worship, this man does indeed have one!... as strange as this may sound...

Cheers

What a great car. NOT  ! This morning there was a pond of fluid on the street.... brake fluid it turned out to be. Soon I found what was leaking: the brake master cylinder. O boy... Well, the Land Rover specialist some 15 miles from me had a nice overhaul kit that was mine for $15, so I ripped apart the unit, checked the inside cleaned it and punt in a nice new set of rubbers. Problem solved. Now bleeding the system... I've got an "eezy-bleed" kit, that works on tyre pressure. Never used it before, and I must say: Great tool! Bleeding the bloody thing was an easy job.

Only thing is: It's freak'in cold outside for Dutchmen. For the first time in let say 10 years we're having snow and daytime temperatures are a healthy - 2 tot -5 celcius, combined with the famous Dutch winds. I think I've earned my glass of Scotch now, don't I

Just a small update for now: This week I finaly got to changing the rear springs. As the car is running on LPG and there is a hefty LPG tank in the rear, it started to "Hang Over" a bit.. So, I nice set of HD-rear coilsprings did the trick. Also I changed the bushes from the rear trailingarms. The handling has realy improved with a 100%! :D :D

When I was growing up, my father always bought British Leyland because "you can always get the parts" (I wonder why that's important!). I guess I just inherited the masochistic gene and bought a Rangie 10 years ago. Colleagues at work usually now respond with, "you did what!?" in surprise to what I consider normal maintenance and repair. At least my motor's getting newer bit by bit though and I had a smug expression last week being the only one getting into work without a major drama in the snow. Don't think I could take the shame of running a boring Eurobox after this

OK. I'm doing conversion on my 1992 vogue SE right now. I'll write about things needed
Parts needed from lhd vehicle: Steering box, right hand swivel assembly, shorter hoses for power steering, dash grab handle, heater lower fascia, air con assembly, lower covers of dash, dash wooden trim panels, window regulator panel, steering column and pedal mounting bracket, lhd headlamps, Windscreen wipers assembly, shorter accelerator cable, wiper cover panel. Some parts can be modified to fit LHD but I prefer to change. that's all I think if I remember anything else I will post.
Work in the engine bay: Moving from right to left whole brake system and remapping brake tubes and elongation of brake system wiring, hood opening cable. moving from left to right window cleaning tank and elongation of wires and one hose going to rear window.
Interior Work: Parking brake from right to left, wire elongation of instrument panel, steering column switches, fuse box and accessory panels.
I may have forgotten something but I think it ok :) if anyone has any question feel free to ask, I will remember when asked :)
