From what I understand, it will require some re-wiring (or a new wiring harness) as the LEDs have a different load resistence. Below is a link to someone who's completed the 2010 retrofit:

None I have a 2006 RR, the picture in the signature is of the 2010 LEDs.

i actually hate the 2010 taillights and headlights

but if someone wants to sell me some taillamps after their replacement, please PM me - i've got water/condensation in one of my taillamps - and wouldnt mind picking up a set of two
