In this review, she say that there is a bit more wind noise then anticipated, and a good amount of road noise from those low-profile tires (23s), can anyone confirm this with 22s

Got my MY23.5 P510e ATB.

Yes, there is a wind noise. With music off it gets really noticeable at 100 km/h / 60 mph and then keeps gradually increasing with more speed. Like if driver door window would be not entirely closed. I tried it with electric only and with petrol engine on - there's no difference, it sounds the same. Not an issue in the city, but can be annoying on highway.

What the hell is a 23.5?

No they don’t. Some owners who want to feel like they got something different refer to half model years but manufacturers generally do not.
That sounds a little too generalized. I have quite a few product briefs going back on half year model changes directly from Land Rover, listed as "MYX.5". At least one window sticker for MY17.5 and a MY19.5 product brief that I promised not to post. Long time ago but MY14.5 L405 had a lot of changes over MY14. That's the one that comes to mind because of all the changes. I wouldn't just dismiss it; there is history for .5 MY changes with JLR. The documents are on my site.

Having said that, I do agree in the current situation the changes are meaningless but even the order sheets have become meaningless now.

Apparently JLR is well aware of the problem. The tech that worked on my car today got the internet working and I now have the weather app along with Alexa and Spotify. I am very happy.
He too said there are foam strips but there are many and it could be a nightmare to install trying to isolate where the noise is actually coming from.

Forgot to mention, concerning the apps and connectivity, the technician got technical support involved and basically technical support wiped out the SIM card ( it was corrupted) to the car which is in a module that is not accessible. Then all the apps were reinstalled and the internet came back and apps worked. This could not be done without getting technical support involved. I was told they are the last step b/c technicians are required to troubleshoot exactly as TS says. Sometimes it becomes a lengthy drawn out process.

I managed to tape mine up yesterday as well. Didn’t change a thing. Drove 120 plus miles at 70 mph.

@AlexJR Are you eligible to win your own prize or am I still considered the first?

That is some beautiful taping! Much better than my attempt so yes, you win the prize of the group's admiration! Interesting what Brandon says re the window position - I quite often check that my window is all the way up, I will try and jig it down slightly to see if this makes a difference. If anyone hears of a campaign or any form of recall please let the group know. My local dealership truly useless so will need to try somewhere else if there is a fix. They had the car 4 days and admitted they had done nothing. Squeaking fan? Oh well we would need to strip out the dash so would have to book you back in. How about look at the car the day it is dropped in...truly JLR's most major fault is the dealer network.

I have been playing with this here and there. My noise (air leak) is definitely coming from the drivers side door window or door frame around the window (where it presses against the frame of the car. I have covered my hand over the gap from the door windows frame to the body frame (just down from the top of the window where its start curing down) and seem to muffle and reduce the wind noise.

In the last few days, I have been playing with the drivers main window. With the window all the way up, I set the wind noise. If I quickly tap the down window to move it down barely, I seem to get a slight reduction in the noise. That has me thinking it's the weather stripping the window pushes against when all the way up. It seems that when the window is put all the way up, it "seats" and pushes out a tad. This makes me wonder if the thickness of the rubber is not enough or when it set in position its bows out a tab then causing a gap. Does this makes sense?

The fact so many are not having this issue while equally many are, I wonder if the result is from a bad or varied lots/suppliers of the weather stripping or slopping assembly of parts that does align perfectly as they should?

And while I'm sure it's how they do things and speeds up the process - I wish this was just a kit with everything cut exactly to size and not left up the mechanic using locally sourced materials or equivalent.
