Can confirm wind noise is minimal at most and road noise from my 22s is nonexistent 🤷🏻‍♂️

 

on the highway on my 22s p510e my 23 the major
noise is other cars. I dont even have laminated windows. But next tome i would get laminated windows to reduce noise from other cars

 

I wouldn't fully trust any Range Rover review where the tester doesn't use the folding armrest.

I remember that some reviewers also quoted the same problem, but I don't know if the cars they tested had the noise cancellation feature

 

I just test drove both LWB/SWB 460 and I can confirm the road noise was worst than I expected. Even the Autobiography was a bit louder than our current 405. Neither of the cars had the Active Noise Cancelling but wish they were a bit more hushed.

 

A car should not rely on electronic noise cancelling for a quiet serene ride. The electronics will fail like on my noise-cancelling headphones (easy return unlike cars). Hopefully it's just a first model year issue and will be rectified in year 2.

 

My SWB has 22 inch wheels - there is no road noise. My car has 2000 miles on ODO , so the tires are almost new. The noise can appear when tires age.
Any car with 23 inch wheels will have more road noise and it is expected.
Wind noise is different story. The level of it is much more than expected for this kind of car. Hopefully they will fix it in next model years.

 

I have 23" wheels and no complaints on road noise. That said, the wind noise is totally unacceptable. Primarily coming from the driver and front passenger windows, so it would appear.

I drove a Bronco around while I waited for mine to come in since I sold my RRS...Don't bother me much lol.

 

Don't know if I got lucky or not - but this past weekend I drove about 60 miles and the speed was "in excess of 55 mph". I did not hear any wind noise. I didn't have any music going because of a sleeping toddler in the back seat (my friend's son). My friend and I did not hear any wind noise at all - even as speeds approached levels one would assume they'd hear added noise.

No not anything at all. It was pretty silent. We both noted how quiet it was in the car as opposed to my moms L405 LWB Supercharged V8.

Agreed - it doesn't make sense why mine doesn't have it.

Ill try to see if I can pull footage from my dash cam while doing over 55mph so you can hear.

 

Long. The camera was set to wide to get as much in - so it distorted the shape. And the front seat was all the way back.

 

I just did a ~250 mi round trip and the wind noise was very noticeable. No road noise though. This was my first trip of any length and had family in car so did not use stereo most of the time and if we did it was an audiobook. I have a 2023 L460 SV SWB. I also used to have the L405 and don't remember there being such wind noise. Not a deal breaker for me but agree that it needs to be fixed.

 

My build date was only just this past December. Being so many people seem to have the wind noise and many do not, I wonder what the problem could be traced to. I mean the body design and components are the same. So poor build quality with certainty parts or seals?

 

I wonder if the angle the mirrors are set at have any effect. I didn't try that. Next time I drive it I will check the assembly date although I only took delivery a month ago.

 

Our LWB is a vault. Over 6k miles now and it is a serene place, high speed, low speed, every surface imaginable.

 

I'll get my new SWB ATB within next few days and will check and report here if there's a wind noise on 100 km/h+ or not.

My dealer told me it's MY23.5, he already managed to find some options that were not in the specs initially, not even for money, so this car is a bit different. Maybe they did some work with noise too. I hope nothing that was standard will me missing (other than Meridian downgrade).

Got mine back from a useless LandRover and they said the wind noise was normal. I know they did not test it at 70 mph as the dealership is quite far into London but the were so unengaged that I did not pursue. Is what it is unless someone finds a solution! Anyone in the UK have an L460 near London/High Wycombe that they think does not have wind noise?

 

Looking at the windscreen this could be a source of noise at high speed? Might try some heavy tape on the area. Anyone with a recent delivery take similar pics of top and sides of windscreen to see if they look the same?

 

Mine looks the same. Just took delivery two weeks.ago I hear some decent wind noise at highway speeds coming from the windshield corners, that A pillar windshield trim looks suspect to me. There's quite a gap, and feels flimsy. I think I'll start there with some tape and see what the result are.

I also hear the "tire" drone coming from the front end, it's always on the same road, traveling up a hill in my neighborhood at 30-40 mph.

 

Even though it looks strange that is normal.

Agreed, the drone doesn't sound like it's coming from the windshield. I feel like it's out front, almost off center to the left in my case. It's a hollow sound. Hard to describe.

 

I think I might have the same issue - seems like the front driver wheel well area? It's like a loose suspension component or something subtly rattling along all road imperfections at all speeds but louder around 45 mph. Is this what you were hearing? If so, were there any solutions? I have 2023 P530 - had brake pads, rotors and tires replaced recently but no luck on getting rid of that hollowing sound from front driver corner only.

 

I do not have a noticeable drone.
