Towing with SVR?

Does anyone tow with an SVR?
I'm considering a '16/'17 RRS to replace my '06 RRS. The SVR's look interesting but I'm concerned about the 1k pound difference in towing capacity. What causes this difference?
I tow an 18ft enclosed trailer with a small vintage car inside, plus cabinets and gear. The '06 has towed it fine, even at my current 200k miles!

It’s what happen when you get the higher performing car. Same thing with the gwagons. A regular g550 is 7k and my g63 is 6500. Same thing with raptors, the engines/Trans is more for speed.

Your 18 footer is probably 3k empty around? I had to get an open trailer

Probably around 3k empty. Cars inside weigh anywhere from 600 pounds to 2500 pounds. I have access to open trailers but would only use them locally, not when going to races.
I'll get another RRS, it's a matter of utility(Dynamic) vs performance(SVR). The RRS is used for a daily commute for about 80% of the year, but it's almost all back-roads ~50 mile round trip.

Awesome - great to see! Yeah, I did all the outfitting of my '06 RRS, including brake controller. The guy buying it will use it for towing, so I'll just get a new controller. I saw the notes about the wiring.

I will look online a little later to see if I can find the part number. Its the stock cover that was originally on the car. The LR service department initially kept it when they installed my hitch but I asked for it back. I was going to try to do a custom cover but after removing the black trim and taking off the rubber cap, I managed to get it to fit. Its not perfect as it bulges down a little in the middle but its not very noticeable.
