Squeaks and rattles - still a thing?

I've always loved Topher's videos, and this one is one of the big L460 daddies. I'm surprised by his critique about creaks and rattles and how an Expedition has less....(Ford apparently does a 'shake down' test after each Expedition)...

Do you experience creaks and rattles in your newer L460s?

FYI ChatGPT says absolutely RR has more of these issues than other brands, and it brought me, sadly, here: https://www.rangerovers.net/threads/warranty-service.354791/?utm_source=chatgpt.com

This was one thing I was very concerned about because most used 2023 L460 I test drove had horrible squeak and rattle. However, to my surprise our 2025 been solid so far after 4000 miles (knock on wood). Not sure if they made any change in newer model years or if ours is still low mileage to show these issues. I also think 23” wheels contribute to this issue (less side wall). The only 2023 L460 I drove that didn’t have squeak had 21” inch wheels on it fwiw

This is helpful - thank you. The brand new '25 P400 I drove had 0 creaks and rattles and they were on 23s. My planned build is on 21s and it's be a '26 model so I'm...cautiously researching while biting my nails :)

I just don't get how Topher's '25ATB was rattling that badly.

I have a 23 sv I purchased with about 10k miles.

Quieter than other SUVs I have owned including an older Navigator (worst), a 2004 Escalade ESV like Tony Soprano’s which became a maintenance issue, and an Audi Q7 prestige which my wife loves and is very nice.

But a Rover in higher trim is a wonderful indulgence. I beat up the dealer to get the longest warranty possible because I am still concerned about reliability but, touch wood, no issues to date.

I understand that the SV line is made separately by different employees so my experience may not be yours

I have a 25 P530 I bought end of May 2025. It had been sitting on the lot since February or so?

I have about 3000 miles and it rattles and squeaks a fair amount from the back. Sometimes it even sounds like something hitting the car.

Fortunately I'm able to drown out most of it with music but mine definitely makes a good amount of noise. I still love it though.

I believe that the enemy of good is better--dealer may make it worse, they may scratch my car etc. Plus I haven't figured out where it's coming from.

It doesn't really bother me.

To clarify it’s not a daily thing and actually thinking about it more I notice it mostly when the car is sitting still. It may actually be temperature related. I noticed a lot of noise when I was sitting at a light a few months ago and it was really hot outside.

Today driving 30 minutes on a highway, 60 degrees outside at 80 plus mph it was quiet.
