Got it this afternoon.
Looks like it only affects 22/23 PHEVs. There's a lot of text about MY 22/23 PHEVs and 12v in the description of this update.2025 550e AB here with 1100 miles. No issues with AC/vents/fan or pre-conditioning post update. No EV issues.
I live at 11000’/3300m in elevation with temps now consistently below 32f/0c. Car is in garage kept at 40-44f/7c. These conditions alone since I don’t pre-condition when garaged create an ICE over EV need initially but once on the road for about 5-10 mins EV takes over. On my warmer days, the few we had since I bought this, around 60f/13c EV runs from the start.
Did it prompt you to update or was it automatic? I had a lot of problem with my heater not working when I updated to 4.2.1 in December, then it magically started working perfectly a few days ago. I've not noticed any update notifications.Did anyone receive a new update today? I was on 4.2.1_ and this morning an update popped up for 4.2.1__
Exactly the same release notes. Updated quickly and haven‘t noticed any differences.
It prompted me after a short 15 minute drive. I’ve only ever had one update arrive and install on its own and that was 4.2.0Did it prompt you to update or was it automatic? The latest SW is actually supposed to be 4.3.1 but I think this has been pulled back from LR due to some problems. Anyway it’s been a while since I’ve heard that anyone has installed it.Took delivery of a 2025 P400 3 weeks ago without the 48V active roll system, and got prompted to install 4.2.1 a couple days ago (first update). Is it placebo that I'm noticing the car handles bigger bumps and dips on the road better than before the update? Before the update, on bigger bumps and dips I felt the car jostle me around more than what I expected from this caliber of suspension. After the update, it seems like the car has a better gliding feel over the same sections of poor roads.
it is possible, that version does improve that a bit potentially. check ovalnews for a breakdown of improvements by operation system update.Took delivery of a 2025 P400 3 weeks ago without the 48V active roll system, and got prompted to install 4.2.1 a couple days ago (first update).
