Hi all,
As mentioned in my introduction topic, I am in the process of buying a new L461 Range Rover Sport (MY24). Right now I have chosen for the (Dutch) base model, a Range Rover Sport P460e S. It is a no brainer here to go for the plugin hybrid options.
I have, however, soms doubts / questions I need som help with. I hope you guys can help me.
On the technical side
First. The "engine" was updated from the P440e to P460e. The electrical engine power has increased to, so I have read, 218 ps, from about 145 ps in the P440E. Total engine output however dit not improve by about 70 ps. How does that work? Can I expect this new version to be quicker on electrical power online? That would be great. and further: if the electrical part had such a big upgrade: where did the normal engine power go? Should I expect a big performance drop, once the batteries are low, or would there always be a reserve for a quick sprint?
Second. What to expect with regard to mileage, when the battery has been depleted? 25 MPG on the highway, doing 70 MPH? Or should I expect better or worse?
Third. Is the (quite) new 3.0 ingenium twin turbo a reliable engine? Does anybody know how this compares to the six in line of BMW?
Practicality
During the test drive, I did not find any ubs / usb C ports. Do you know where they are located? I do know there is the wireless charging in front.
Do you have any problems using wireless android auto?
Technical
During the test drive, I noticed a lag when going full throttle from 0 km/h. Is this because the (normal) engine stops, which takes 0.5 of a second to start again? I hope/guess there is a mode in which I van just drive off with the engine already running. Further, accelerating in the car, also when doing this gently, gave me a "bus like" feeling: it would "jerk" a bit. Can that be overcome? Or is that just the cars character? I noted it's also quite wobbly, but maybe I got the suspension settings all wrong.
I have read that there is an "active exhaust". Is there? Could barely hear any sound...
Speccing
Right now, I would like to invest in the Meridian 3d and the Stormer handling pack. These are quite costly packs, however. Do you (not) have these specs and what do you think about it? Are you familiar with the differences? Are there any other "must have" options in your opinion?
Any answer is very much appreciated. Thank you!
