My 2025 RR has the “optional” features referred to in this thread. The reason I don’t specify is that I’m not clear to what all the options are. Several of them “expired” this month. I’m not paying almost $500 for subscriptions that I don’t understand what is included. So far, I still have the Remote Climate option. I won’t miss car play (I don’t think), because I think I’m using BT from my phone for maps (Waze) and music (Pandora). I could be wrong. Any advice for clarity is appreciated.

As an IT professional for 20+ years, allowing access to vehicle functions through the internet is not security at all. Being a “highly sought after” vehicle just means it will be targeted more.

Personally I’d prefer the ease and speed of the fob mounted remote start button.

CarPlay is not dependent on subscriptions so you won’t lose it.

Mine is a 2020 RR, so it's the previous model. The InControl app works well for me, and includes remote start. For anyone unfamiliar with the app, it has many other useful features. It reminds you if the vehicle was left unlocked, and can be locked remotely if you do forget. You can also beep the horn and flash the lights in a parking lot with a sea of other SUVs. The app can be set to track where the vehicle is and where it has been in the Journeys section. In the Health section, it also tracks tire pressure, washer fluid level, brake wear, oil and coolant level alerts, and engine fault codes, and how far you can travel on the fuel left in the vehicle.
