Leak Detection Pump Replacement Procedure

Has anyone on here done a DMTL/Leak Detection Pump replacement on the L320? I see that the thing is installed around the spare tire area in the center of the vehicle. I am not entirely clear, however, on what exactly is going to have to be removed to facilitate its removal and replacement.
