L405 Automatic Reset

Our 2019 HSE L405 is beginning to feel a bit 'sluggish' at 25k miles - it feels slower off the mark, gear shifts are more clunky and it just feels odd. There are no warning lights and it had an oil change a month ago so I'm trying to figure out what's wrong. We live in a rural part of Napa County so our nearest LR dealer is 1h 40 away in Marin or Walnut Creek. Has anyone heard of the automatic transmission reset? Evoque and Discovery Sport owners say it works well. Has anyone tried with an L405? It's as follows...

1) Press Start button but don't turn on the engine.
2) Press the Accelerator down to the floor for about 15 seconds.
3) Hit the start button again to turn off the power.
4) Remove foot from Accelerator
5) Waity for 2 Mins.
6) Start the engine and Drive.

you can call or email your dealer and verify the process with them. resetting the adaptive (learning) systems is a thing, for sure. but I thought it was more than just the transmission.

@william2019, you have one, try the procedure and see if it helps. Then report back. The worst that could happen, it doesn't work. Asking if anyone has tried it, when you, yourself can try it, is a bit silly. We're not talking about major changes to your vehicle, or severe offroading issues. It's a simple reset.

From this forum:

Do not reset the adaptions after changing the fluid, at least not immediately after.

Reseting the adaptions causes the shifts to slip more than normal while it learns everything, with new fluid that doesn't have any friction material in it, this can cause an otherwise good trans to fail, as it will never fully learn the correct way to shift if unwanted slip is present.

There is a very specific way to drive the vehicle after resetting the shift adaptions(which is different then the engine adaptions, which is what the above throttle procedure will reset) and it is in Topix, but not where it is expected to be.

"Dealer wisdom says that you should never do an adaptions reset after 100k miles.
Theory is your computer has been learning how to shift with a trans that is worn, and resetting will cause issues.
I have done it, but after making the customer fully aware of the risks. "

I did the Reset... Worked great... Throttle tip-in much more responsive, quicker and smoother shifting... She even ran a bit richer than normal but that evened out in about a week and a half. The exhaust note was a tad deeper at idle as well and still is after about a month since the Reset. All positive attributes and all around more responsive/better driving.

Changed the Transfer Case and Differential fluids last week as preventative maintenance and because they had never been changed. Still drives great!

I had to perform this again today... BAM! Instantly back in the game. Much Quicker and aggressive downshifts, holds RPM's longer, snatches your neck back to the headrest in 2nd... In Sport Mode "Dynamic" TMS setting starting off in 1st you better be quick on that upshift paddle!
