Hi all I am in the process of changing the tail gate seal and I notice in the spongy bit that is the seal there are 2 stiffer areas are these supposed to be located in a particular location i.e. Corners/next to catches.
Any help would be appreciated

 

I think the leak was from the top tail gate hinge bolts I have sprayed that area with ignition plasti coat sealer and it's fixed it. That was a lot easier than removing the whole lot and sealing it. I'll let you know how it goes.
