Hello Everyone!

I just got my 2023 RR P530 back from the dealer after the rear camera was replaced under recall. Now, the external button to open the rear tailgate won’t work. I’m guessing that it’s just because they forgot to plug it back in and being that it’s so hard to get back there and arrange another service appointment I’d rather do it myself. I tried to see if there was any easy way to get to it, but am afraid without the proper procedure I might break some of that flimsy plastic on the interior of the rear hatch. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Also- happy to get a service manual, but wondering which you all recommend most. Thanks in advance! 😊

Sorry about your ordeal. I would advise you take it back to the dealer and let them fix it. Your vehicle is still under warranty, and I realize the inconvenience taking it back to the dealer. I would call the service manager of the dealership and tell them to send a tech to fix it or come and get it. It makes me mad when they mess something up that was working before.

Agree would have the dealer fix it and try to make it where you go and they fix it without your having to come back. Can’t imagine it taking more than a few minutes. Unless the dealer is a long drive away?

Thanks for the information. Since my dealer eliminated the valet service to pick up the car, it’s quite the drive to get all of this taken care of, but it is what I’ll have to do. After getting an online service manual there isn’t enough information for me to undertake the risk of fixing it myself. Oh well!
