I don't miss the real buttons and knobs

I have a 25 SWB P530 and L663 D90 - a different take on the removal of the physical controls in the Range Rover.

I was initially a bit bummed that the new L460 would have no button or knob controls for certain highly used functions. However, I am finding the ability to quickly make adjustments to the things I use the most very easy to navigate on the screen . Much easier than anticipated, in fact.

The first thing I do is disable the Auto Start and it is no more inconvenient than using the button on the D90. Climate controls are very easy to adjust and I am beginning to prefer them to knobs. I find the entire experience very intuitive and love how clean the interior console looks.

I give a lot of credit to how well this is thought out by JLR.

It is just a matter of getting used to the new layout of things, and down to personal preferences. I am old school and still prefer buttons and analog stuff, but I am also completely satisfied with my P550e. It took a few hours to get used to finding where everything is, and I agree with you they are intuitive and easy to use.

Agree. The complaint about this issue and tOo mAnY sCrEeNs has become a meme that unoriginal "enthusiasts" can't help but parrot. Everyone is of course welcome to their opinion but repeating something ad nauseam without adding anything new to the conversation is tiresome, imo, but apparently still generates clicks. I came from a 2024 GLE 53 AMG Coupe to a 2025 RR p400 that I have had for a little over a month now. I will say I wish the RR steering wheel controls could control the infotainment system like in my 24 GLE 53 AMG Coupe. I am getting more used to everything being on the touch screen and I am liking it, but I do have the fear in the back of my mind that if the screen craps out for some reason, then the car may be a giant brick.

I also have a 25 RR and drove a Discovery loaner the other day which has the same AC control module as what they put in 23 RRs and I didn’t like it at all. The implementation is poor and physical interaction points like keys and knobs feel cheep. Was happy to go back to my touch screen AC controls. However, that area below the screen is awkwardly empty which I dont like

I've test driven the RR but I don't own it like you guys do. I must say, I was very disappointed at all of the insane amount of menu navigating in order to turn on the massage seats or seat heaters. No doubt I am missing some shortcuts that you guys know but man, on my A8 it's perfect. Two screens, haptic feedback, etc.

I wish RR had the dual use knobs like in the older model. That would be PERFECT with that beautiful 13.1" screen on top. I think RR went a bit too far, but then again my opinion is worthless as I don't own one......YET. :)
