It's true, but that being said the electronics for the most part have been fine and the drivetrain has been basically fine in my P400. I'm up to about 3600 miles so far. I can be a little nit-picky, but the rattles are pretty obvious and from multiple places. I am working with the dealer to set up an appointment to have my list addressed.

 

That sucks, but hopefully your dealer will be able to tweak things enough to address the areas of concern. When you have a moment, could you share what areas you are having issues/concerns with and what the dealer did to address them. Thanks!

 

Just not enough of them being sold and driven to get a good picture of initial build quality and reliability. That does worry me a bit.
When I got my 2015 in Jan 2015, there were enough of the L405 out there to get a pretty good idea of what you were getting and what issues to watch out for. With current constraints, you'd be getting the L460 delivered close to two years after launch, but it would be like you bought a car a few months after launch!

 

Curious, is yours a MY 22.5 or a '23?

 

I took delivery of mine on Wed. (23 Carpathian Grey on black 23s) No squeaks or rattles. Only a slight panel misalignment on the back left trunk. Also the weather sealing on the bottom right of the door was slightly look but it was a quick fix. Also some paint swirls from the factory. Other than that its solid so. far.

Haven't noticed any squeaks or rattles at 6500 miles. If anything, the sunroof sounds a little "dry" when it is opening and closing but that's about it.

Hi. I have a P530 and have zero quality issues. No rattles, alignment issues - nothing. New and flawless.

 

I’ve had a SWB autobiography for 1 month. Parcel shelf is totally useless and replaced once already (and shipped with no automated retraction). I’ve had no other problems. Build quality seems very good.

 

i have a 2023. Took delivery in July. 2900 miles. No squeaks no rattles no issues at all. It has been perfect and a pleasure to drive. Side note: the 4 wheel steering is amazing. I can maneuver this thing like it’s a Mini Cooper.

 

Flawless so far, from having one of the first velars, it is a huge difference in terms of interactive display and the responsiveness. Can say for once it feels like a new truck with no issues etc.

One small minor thing is that when I click the button to lock the door via the handle it doesnt work sometimes on driver side but does for others. I feel like thats a common thing as it happened to my velar to and they will likely replace this handle too.

 

Having now replaced the third car after rejection due entirely to panel build and trim fit....I can honestly say build quality has suffered greatly due to increase I suspect in Sales volumes...seems LR continue in a downward spiral in regards build quality....I only wish they were built by the Germans!

 

This is insane. do you have photos to share? I am curious how bad they were. I picked up my 2025 about 2 months ago and didn't have issue. It is not perfect but nor is any brand. I was more worried about interior and rattler and squeaks which knock on wood so far it has been fine

 

my 2024 has one panel where the trim isn't tucked all the way in and you can see the edge of it sticking out, and one moonroof rattle or something it creaks/rattles a bit but not noticeable.

otherwise I just completed a 2000 mile road trip and it drove great
