Hello Everyone,

Yes, I’ve downloaded the 5000 pages.. Just wondering if someone knew a section where some info might be posted. I don’t get spoon fed. I do all my own research and work. Was just checking. I’ll find it eventually .. No worries, you just keep trolling the net for people to bag on..

Cheers

If you did any research, you would know that pdf's are searchable, the short bus awaits.

Yes, grounds/earths... I've looked through the literature and there are so many that seem duplicated. Just wondering if its 5-10 or 15 Main grounds for the chassis. Anyway, ill keep looking and doubling my efforts.. I'm sure there cant be 5-8 main grounds/earths to check and clean.. Like (rayodunne) says.. I must ride the short bus.. Whatever that means when your from Canada. Eh 😂 Must be something for the all the snow...

4.4,,,, Picked it up for my daughter, chasing a low beam issue on front headlight (passenger side).. Wiring looks good. Had to temporarily splice driver side low beam line over to passenger side with a 16ga wiring and 30amp relay coming off main battery. Works OK, but will work on finding gremlin.. Maybe BCU/BCM main fuse panel, but looks dry and no corrosion. Haven't removed it yet so that will be one thing Ill check. So secondary I was looking at grounds for passenger headlight as it related to low beam grounding. If ya have any input that's great, if your gonna insult me like (rayodunne) don't bother, ill figure it out myself.. Thanks again for any input.

Sorry mate you have an attitude problem - the point rayodunne was quite correct about doing a bit of research yourself and now you are having a go at forest02 for simply trying to understand your issue. Rayodunne provided a link to the manuals to try to help and forest02 tried to seek additional information.

You have the issue not those who have responded.

I’ll just say there are grounds everywhere and sometimes multiple wires going to them. There’s obviously the main going from the chassis/body to the battery, but they put lots of grounds to the body and frame for all the electronics. Can really make it a pain chasing ground faults. I believe the headlights have their own grounds to the body as do the taillights and most other units. There are several in the front kick panels and rear quarter panels.

There are also ground connections under the front passenger door sill that are only taped and tend to cause issues.

Thanks Forest and NoExpert.. Ill look at those spots and see what I can sort out.. The GapII is showing low beam violtage low so I was thinking it might be a bad ground.. Hopefully that and not a BCU issue with the FETs ...
