I have a 2010 RRS SC with the grey caliper set on the front. They are looking oxidized and I was looking for ideas to "spruce" them up. Anyone have any experience doing this?

I'm thinking about powder coating mine when I do my next brake job. Thinking of going with the Brembo gold color as my Range is Nara Bronze. Red might look a tab bit odd on mine. I have yet to see a Nara Bronze Range Rover with red Brembos.

I have the same problem and have been looking for a way to paint mine red as well, however, I don't have a garage to do it myself and I don't have the time to ship them to a powdercoater.

One option I was looking at was to use rockauto.com and buying red powdercoated calipers from there for $186 (after a $150 core return fee) and take it to a local shop for a quick installation. The calipers would be refurbished and powdercoated by Centric, a large brake company.

you can definitely do it yourself, i just didnt have the time or patience.. you dont have to take the calipers or rotors off the car to paint.. just make sure you mask and tape up everything before painting.. but all the hi temp paints, decals, and clear coat can be bough for reasonable prices.. im sure there are plenty of youtube videos with more detailed instructions.. i wouldnt replace your brembo calipers for refurbished centric calipers but thats just my opinion.

I refinished mine with VHT heat cured paint. I used the white paint for the stencil.

You cannot take the Brembos apart to powder coat them, they will leak when you put them back together. Centric mills the mating surfaces flat to ensure leak free performance after they are powder coated, and even at that Brembo says they do not recommend the Brembo calipers be refurbished by ANYONE, including themselves. Take it for what its worth.

I have a bead blast cabinet so I blocked off the ports and lightly blasted the calipers, then painted them with VHT paint and cured them in my Cerakote Oven for 2 hours. They looked perfect when I took them off when I traded in my 12 for a new 15. Had about 7500 miles on them.

Those look fantastic blkz06! Is the VHT paint a spray paint? Did you have any issues bleeding the brakes afterward?
