Hi friends. I'm currently not running a front license plate for aesthetic reasons but I'm getting too many tickets for it. In my previous state it wasn't a big deal but here it is. I'm curious if folks have found creative solutions other than drilling holes into the front bumper. It doesn't look like there's an exposed tow hook on the front that you can mount an adapter onto. Thanks.

Me, I'm in texas. They LOVE to pull you over for no plate. I figure it's an excuse for fishing. I refuse to drill holes in my toy car bumpers and have been pulled over a number of times. No tickets, but pulled over. Figure they may have been looking to see what else they could find. Usually not doing anything illegal but don't need the hassle.
What part of TX? I'm also in TX (Austin), been here 9yrs and have never had any issues with no front plate on any of my cars... half the cars here don't have anything on the front

I recently attached my plate to my 2022 SVR. The easiest solution for me was some 4” toggle bolts.
I drilled 4 holes thru a license plate frame (2 on each side) and inserted the toggle bolts thru the lower grill area and snugged it all up. The grill is plastic, however it took the load without a problem.
The plate is very secure and looks great. Best of all, no permanent damage to the car.
I think the entire solution cost less than $10. I’d send pictures, however I’m away from home.

Are you talking about L405 or L460 ? Can you post pictures of how it looks ?
I'm trying to avoid drilling the front bumper.

They don't carry the L460 version yet. He needs to see it in person to do the fitting. He's hoping to find one in the next couple weeks.

I just installed front plate today using 3/16 in x3 Toggle bolts. No drilling and total cost is about $8. Thank you Kaylorsan for the idea.

Double sided tape works just fine in the UK but perhaps because of the shape of our licence plates.
Well, since here in. the EU -and the rest of the planet outside of the US- front & rear plates are mandatory, I can confirm the following: yes, the intended mounting system for front plates is drilling two holes in the bumper.
I wasn't paying attention when they actually mounted the plates on mine, so I can't tell you if there are markings to help you do it straight, but that's the way they attach front plates outside the US. Many cars in the EU have a license-plate 'mount' molded into the bumpers, but the RR doesn't (to the credit of its designers).

I went with Sto N Go. I added some foam over the bolts to protect the bumper if it ever got pushed against. Can take it off in 2 seconds, which is handy when i use the tow hitch. I move the front plate to the back. Looks nice. Mounts low on the bumper. When you take it off, because it is at a 90 degree angle (give or take), there is no where easy to store it in the car.
The ticket must be cheap in the US if you’d rather pay the fine than drill your bumper.

What year and model do you have? I want to get one for my 2021 RR SWB Westminster, and the Sly Brackets site says they're not compatible with 2021 RR.
