Ok...I'm getting water in the carpet of the footwell on my driver's side. I went under the vehicle, noticed that the drain was completely dry, while the passenger side was wet, but a little clogged. I unclogged the passenger side, and water started to drip out...cool. Well I tried to unclog the driver's side, squeezed the drain, stuck a wire up there, and it's dry as a bone. ??? Could it be disconnected in the cabin? Could the bulk of the water drain on the passenger side first? I ran the car for about 10 minutes with the a/c on high, and it was still dry. Any ideas?

Wet Driver's Footwell

Are you sure the A/C is your problem? Your HVAC Box has two drain tube as you can tell under each front seat under your vehicle. Short rubber tubes channel the moisture from the box to the drain under the trim pieces of the center radio and ac controls. Remove the two screws mounting your driver's side trim piece, one short and one long screw (if they are still stock). Look along the carpet's edge for the short rubber tube. Hopefully I have been helpful. Good Luck!

I had this problem and the rod up from under the car did nothing. I then removed the footwell side panel and disconnected the rubber hose from the drain (see the photo at the link below). Inside, there was a ball of gunk which was acting as a non return ball valve. It would get pushed up by the rod then fall back to block the drain. Clearing that out, plus blowing through with a bit of hose, cured the problem.
