I just purchased my 2025 Range Rover SE and have had her for about 3 days now. I am going out of town for a few days tomorrow and will be parking my Rover at the airport. Do I need to do anything with the car before I go out of town? Do I need to check anything? LAst thing I want is to leave and when I get back the car is dead.

For one, ensure the vehicle is double locked, by pressing the lock button twice on the fob.

Use the remote app to keep track of her, ensure she is locked and then afterwards put it into Guardian Mode underneath the security section of the Home Screen. Set a date and time for how long you want it enabled.

I work for an airline and do it everytime I park it in our employee lot. Just make sure it's disabled or off by the time you get back into the car. It's not a super big deal if it isn't, but it sends you a remote alert saying guardian mode detected something, when in reality it's just you getting back into the car earlier than expected.

Just keep an eye on vehicle through the app while you're gone to see its location and if anything was triggered. I believe it won't alert authorities, you have to with the number provided if something does happen.

Anyways, just piece of mind.

As far as battery, should be fine, I never have issues with mine and I could be gone for at least 5 days at a time.

Being that your in Florida, id say Uber to the airport. You have a high probability that someone will show up in a stolen L460, freshly harvested from Las Olas or Royal Palm Yacht Club to drive off with your truck. The app will only tell you it was opened and then poooffff, OBD hack and she gone. Thats why our car insurance is 5-6k per year.

Uber if possible, if leaving car agree with the double press of the lock button until you hear your horn beep, which puts the systems to sleep. re: Guardian mode, my experience is that Guardian mode uses more battery power, significantly more, so I would not use Guardian mode. You can still check on your car with the ap without Guardian mode activated. I used Guardian mode during a concert, two weeks into ownership and after a 2k mile road trip (as in battery was fully charged) and I received a low battery warning the next day. I have never received another low battery warning and I have never used Guardian mode again. I have a p530 2024. curious how long you are keeping your guardian mode on? Never any battery issues?

L460 went missing from front of a friends house in LHP, FL. That city is know for LPR on every entry point besides the guy’s house that has 4k survelence. Video shows RR leaving, as did the G-wagon down the street that was only 2 days new. I think the L460 was a bonus, because the thieves may have had tracking on the G, to grab it off the car lot once it found a new home. Needless to say, both trucks were never seen again.
This is why I don’t get too attached to my cars anymore, and do not leave much personal stuff in them either. It’s South Florida, not much different than a 3rd world country.
