Hi
Recently bought a 2012 Range Rover Sport HSE Luxury Edition. 5.0L V8

this happened about 3 weeks ago. Low coolant warning message on, checked coolant and was low so Top it off. Today the same thing happened. Check the ground and engine bay no coolant leak found. Engine runs good, engine temp are good....I can't figure it out where did the coolant went?

any help will be appreciated. Thanks

I'm having the same issue. My coolant was quite low, well below the cold fill range. I had seen some small orange puddles on the garage floor. So I had the following replaced: oil cooler o-ring, cooling hose, oil cooler seal, intake manifold gasket-S, thermostat assembly, radiator house, coolant outlet flange, water outlet o-ring, water outlet plug, and probably a few more things. I'm not seeing the puddles anymore, but the coolant level continues to drop. I could be burning it off, but I don't smell it. It's a sealed system so what is going on here? Where is that coolant going?

About a month ago, I had the same problem with my 2011 RRS Lux, only 41,000 miles. Coolant warning light, small puddles, etc. My trusted independent was unavailable so I took it to the dealer. After replacement of the water pump, gaskets, etc., I drove it 1800 miles and didn’t lose a drop of coolant.

BubbaRRSport, I wish your reply and video was posted a little earlier. My 2011 Range Rover Sport HSE’s crossover pipe was leaking at the seam. The leaking coolant was evaporating due to the heat of the engine so there was no puddle on the ground. I was adding coolant occasionally. Then, one day overheating light came on, tried filling it with water and the water came pouring out. Changed the water pump, restarted and water was still coming out. Found the split seam in the cross over pipe, replaced it, restarted and the head gasket was blown. Dealer and independent Landrover shops said I can change out the head gasket but I will likely be chasing issues related to the overheating of the aluminum engine. Now it’s just a 5,400 lb paper weight. It’s a shame because it’s in beautiful condition otherwise. I have learned it’s a very common issue with the non-supercharged 5.0 engine. I understand the crossover pipe in the supercharged Range Rover is metal rather than plastic. I wouldn’t buy another without changing out the FoMoCo plastic pipes. Hopefully, others are learning from your video before overheating ruins their engine.

I have had the same issue for 2 years! can’t find any leak but everyday my coolant is empty. Truck runs great other than that. I’ve replaced all the coolant system parts and hoses and still the same disappearing act by the cooling system-
