Hi all, I have a sticky residue accumulated all over my 2014 buttons, like console, steering wheel, ac, etc. How do I clean that without causing any damage?

Use a microfibre cloth dipped in nail polish remover. Wipe softly until the sticky wax is all off.

you sure about this? This sounds like it would remove the protective coating? Yea the coating gets tacky but I don't think Id want to remove it...then the white paint will wear off.

The sticky residue is the clear coating that's disintegrating/melting on the the buttons... You've no other way to clean it but to remove it fully off the buttons (unless you want to replace all buttons $$$$) ... In my case I used baby wipes with a lot of rubbing to remove that coating ... which gave a clean buttons without the disintegrated coating and yes I lost the matt look .. but that's ok.

i Just use a lot of quick detailer and wipe off when I clean my interior...tones down the stickiness but leaves the coating. I wouldn't want to remove the clear coat/protection on the buttons....unless its already an gummy unsightly mess.

Apply some paint from a white paint pen, wipe off excess with isopropyl alcohol. Not all paint pens work, but you're basically just filling in the low spots with paint and doing your best not to remove anything but the excess with the iso. A thinner viscosity paint pen that is let to dry for ~30 seconds works best in my experience, make sure that the paint pen you use is dissolvable with the iso.

Drinking game..take a shot every time I wrote "paint pen".
