Auto Stop-Start - Any way to permanently disable it?

Anyone know a way to permanently disable Auto Stop-Start on the L460?

I know, good for the environment… But I have a personal reason for hating Auto Stop-Start: For years I drove a Series II with terrible compression which I could only start with a can of EasyStart so a stall was my worst nightmare.
So bad that even now 40 years later every time Auto Stop-Start kicks in, for a split second my mind yells “Stall!!!”
On my previous RRs I just always pressed the dash button to disable it at startup, but on the L460 it’s now a screen>screen faff. Bah. Any suggestion appreciated.

No way to permanently disable it at this time.

You can program “Favorite” button (diamond icon) on the left side of the steering wheel to toggle the start system stop on and off.

Go to Settings / Gear Icon>Apps>Diamond Button>Short Press>Other>Auto Start/Stop

@Lev I'd be surprise if there's no way to disable it. On the 405 and others, disconnecting the extra battery or the start/stop module disables it completely. There are several threads with how to do this on different models (like the 405) and you should be able to use one of those answers to figure out a solution.

@oldjagman the S/S doesn't always "work" because there are set times for it not to work. If you don't fully press the brake pedal it will not "work". If the interior of the truck is either cold or hot (I don't know the exact temps), it will not "work". If the engine is not warmed up, it will not "work". There may be other times that I can't recall right now, but those are some that immediately come to mind.

I don't need to disable it, it's irrelevant with PHEVs. :)

There has to be either a stop/start module or a small battery to have the "feature". If you disconnect whichever one you have, then it's "permanently" disabled.

The governments are "requiring" this through the efficiency and emissions laws. So, all the major brands do this now on pretty much all their models - but primarily the ones with poor efficiency or emissions (or both).
