Anybody order 2022 SVR Carbon Edition?

Placed my order for a 2022 Carbon Edition for April 2022 delivery with my dealer. Was told JLR is not allowing head’s up display or adaptive cruise control anymore. The system would not allow us to spec those options. Anyone have same problem? Find that hard to believe on an SVR. Dealer has reached out to JLR and we’re waiting for a response.

Funny enough, a 2022 SVR order allows for head’s up display but 2022 SVR Carbon Edition doesn’t. What?? Yes I get chip shortage, but don’t do a final send off on these highest trim models without offering the options that are obviously being routed to other models.
I don’t think waiting is an option. I can’t imagine the L494 will be available with any certainty after that.

I get it’s subjective. I have head’s up now on my 2020 RRS and I love it and find it very functional. Same with adaptive cruise. I can get a lot done on long drives and even traffic without having to constantly be on/off throttle and brakes (safely of course 😁). It’s actually quite useful to help fatigue on long trips. Also adaptive cruise is not a standalone option so I assume you no longer get any of the drive packs.

The fifth generation Range Rover is coming within the next 2 months. The Sport is coming likely next spring or summer. I would assume upon launch (which is basically: now), they have absolute priority over the outgoing models.
Point being, in this current mess and the impending major launches, this is probably not a great time to buy a Range Rover or a Sport. Under normal circumstances, they would have to heavily discount cars at this point.

6 months here or there makes 0 difference as far as the point I was making is concerned. The current Range Rover and Range Rover Sport are essentially "take it or leave it" at this point. No diesel, no PHEV, no HUD, no V8 (except SV), no surround cameras, no inventory, painfully infrequent system updates, etc etc etc.

I just ordered a 2022 SVR non-carbon edition but with all the carbon packs... I got my order in the system with the Heads Up Display, and it didnt complain at all. I got my order in on Aug 17 with a build date of Nov 5. Not sure if that'll get delayed or not but so far, all's well in the system.

Quick update: no adaptive cruise on any SVR which means we can only choose Blind Spot assist. HUD only on SVR and not on SVR Carbon Edition (yes go figure). Given the Carbon edition only gives you illuminated tread plates, it was an easy decision to switch my order to an SVR and just add whatever carbon bits I wanted. We were worried they were taking away surround cameras as well, but at least on the SVR they’re not for now. My SA said it’s only going to get worse and they will shortly take away the SVO color palette. Like someone said, it will soon be hard to spec anything, so take it or leave it. Will be curious to see if the new full-size will initially launch with delayed options as well…I’m guessing it will if things don’t improve. Doubt you’ll see any discounts here - getting a V8 these days has become very hard - look at what MBZ announced recently. No V8’s for MY2022 except for S and G class.

Update: my SVR Carbon Edition has been built and am told it’s about ready to ship. Delivery in February. Let’s hope it has all the options I ordered.

My car just arrived (early) and it’s going through PDI. Confirmed it has every option I ordered including 360 camera and HUD. Whew! Will post photos once I get it.
