Hello all,
I am sure this has been mentioned previously but I haven't found it. I have been looking for ages for bits for my defunct sunroof (the darned plastic bits.... currently propped with a piece of wood)
I decided to restart my search for a used unit and stumbled upon an outfit in Turkey that supply a repair kit with all of the bits. I ordered on Monday expecting a fair wait but lo and behold they arrived the next day all the way from Turkey! Superb service I must say. I have not had time as of yet to install them but they look the real mcCoy to me.
I would imagine that others have seen these bits but just in case they came from www.valeaautoparts.com and certainly did not cost much.
Just thought I would mention it on the offchance anyone was looking :))

Cheers

Sorry but I do think they will work! I had a guy contact me last month who purchased these parts and unfortunately they did not work. I sold him my last set of factory parts.. I have dropped off a good set at a CNC shop last month to see if they can make the sliding part which breaks out of aluminum.. Please let us know what you find...

Thanks for the reply Scotty,
I will let all know if they work. If you have originals
Rather than CNC maybe investment casting would
be an option, I use to do it in my former work as a
toolmaker. Could form a latex mould around the bits
you have and make copies very accurately.
Cheers

This post was from me a while back, the parts did work although I had to sand them slightly to allow them to slide freely, they have been in use for a while now so far so good.

Hi OB,
The ones I posted fitted my old girl, I thought the RR3 had a different mechanism, when I originally ordered them (some time back now) they were listed for the P38.
How is life in my old county?

Hi OB,
...How is life in my old county?...

Looks OK from here. I popped down to Border Control at the Tamar Bridge recently and Cornwall was definitely still there. Still fighting to be declared an independent nation...
