So i changed my headlining to black a while ago and decided that I wanted to fit the later dash as I prefer it. The headlining is done apart from the sun visors and other pieces of trim but can’t seem to find any seconds hand at the moment.

I’ve always preferred the facelift dash board so I’ve nearly finished putting it in. It’s been a bit of a challenge and got a bit of tidying up left to do. I couldn’t find a lot of information online who had done it so jumped in the deep end and had to work alot of it out.

The heater controls have to be used from the old one as the later ones won’t work due to can bus speed differences and later one has a separate module to the panel. The terrain response circuit board can be swapped into the newer casing aswell as the parking brake button.

I’ve wired up the clock and lights for that panel but the rest of the buttons are for show. The facelift door cards are in too but need to work out wiring for the ambient lighting and the window switches. The drivers window switch can’t be used but potentially the others can.

Certainly not finished but getting there.

Just went all in and got a proper one, nice. It’s way better when all the odd bits work as they should. I enjoy my 2011 3.0 which is pretty much the same as the 2010 3.6 interior. Unless it decides to have a hissy fit, then it’s a pain.

What do you have to sort out on the 2010?

Well I wanted to put the L322 TFT cluster in it but without the adapter that’s made in Russia it’s impossible so this one came up really cheap that I couldn’t say no which typically happened after putting the newer dash in.

It needs the dreaded turbos doing. It’s apparently had the passenger side done and now the drivers one has gone so we’ll see when I get chance to look at it.

Hi,

it’s not possible to use the later climate control and the can bus speeds are different.

1. Dashboard change along with the plastics, vents etc was plug and play.
2.Door cards are plug and play, ambient lighting feed comes from the lighting switch.
3. Steering wheel and later airbag is direct swap but I still need to buy the conversion circuit board with buttons to make it work correctly.
4. Facelift screen needs a specific connector which I can provide a link for you and some wiring which there is a link on here somewhere but you loose the ability to play cd’s.
Lastly the start stop button is a dummy. You could wire it up to start it but I didn’t bother.

Thanks for feedback, any more questions then I’ll try my best.

Hello @Timmo1710, merry Xmas. Thanks for the reply! About the climate control system I found out that the one for L322 has the same connectors like for the L320. The only possible problem could be the hazard button. Some sellers told me that the volume button when moved downwards can be used as hazard button. But how can I be sure? Are you aware? Have you searched for this option?

The item I am discussing about is the following :
