2006 RR Sport - Where's the Aux Port?? How can I play an iPod in the car?

Hey Guys!
So I've had my RR Sport for a few months now, and will be taking it for its first road trip this Holidays.
Anyone know where the Aux port is, to hook up an iPod, blackberry, whatever? I have Satellite Radio in it, so I've been listening to that...but there's definitely an Aux button the console - where's the port?? I wish the 06's had the USB ports as well...oh well!
Any input would be great!

Where are you located? You listen to Sat radio, so I assume you are in the US. The 3.5mm female AUX port is behind the center console, under a flip-up door near the 12v receptacle for the rear passengers.
What's this for?

Are you referring to the funky looking connector under the armrest lid? It's for a phone cradle that allows you to hard wire certain models of cell phones form the early 2000s (ancient Nolkia handsets, mostly) into the Personal Telephone Integration system, in lieu of Bluetooth. Land Rover hasn't made cradles for newer handsets in years to fit that connector, so it's a bit of a waste of real estate space under the armrest... You can safely chop it off and remove it if you need the extra overhead.

Gotcha.... I'm also taking a trip, what type of connector is needed?

So the wires to that cradle can safely be cut without harm and dropped down below? I had assumed at least one of those wires was 12V power. I have the cooler below and tried to pull it out to no avail.
One of those wires probably is hot (the cradle also kept your phone charged, among the other features), but yeah, you can cut the whole thing and drop it out of sight if you must - others have done it before with no adverse effects on anything.

For the AUX port all you need is a 3.5mm male-to-male stereo patch cable (make sure it's stereo, mono cables look very similar to the naked eye), and connect it between the AUX port behind the armrest and the headphones jack on your iPod / MP3 player. Crank up the volume on the player to the max, as you will surely notice the very low volume output through that AUX port... And if you have the satnav going at the same time, watch out! That lady is going to break your ear drums when she speaks a direction.

that's awesome, thanks for letting me know!
odd that the aux port is in the rear seat area, and hidden under the flap where the cigarette lighter is. all good! i bought a longer aux cable - good to go! :)
