19' SVR Exhaust Upgrade

So i've been driving my SVR for a few months now (since mid January), and i'm not too impressed by its exhaust note. Under load, it sounds very nice, but its rev's are very poor, and it doesn't pop as much as the 17' gen. Quicksilver is still in the makes of a new exhaust for this generation SVR, and i'm also not so sure I wanna spend the money on a full exhaust system. Someone mentioned I do a full res delete, with an x-pipe, but I had some friends say otherwise. What are you thoughts on what I should do?

I saw the video and it sounds good. I’m worried about drone, which I don’t love. But it’s supposed to be bolt on and bolt off, if needed. I might try it.

I did notice a big difference between 2017 to 2018.
You’re saying there’s a difference between 2018 and 2019?

Very interesting read, it’s definitely put me off Ferrari! This is going to be a big problem. It will mean aftermarket exhausts galore! Good news for you, the USA SVR YouTube videos sound awesome, it’s obvious there is no GPF. I’m looking at modding my SVR exhaust with a muffler delete through Urban, they have done around 70 2018/19 SVR’s so far. I just can’t find anyone that’s had it done! I don’t rate the aftermarket SVR exhausts available, if Akra did one I would be in!

Oh no!

Has anyone compared a 2018 and 2019 SVR exhaust with a post-2019.5 one? I was just reading the below article and was wondering if there's an obvious GPF on the exhaust that can be cut off and replaced with a welded straight pipe.

I tried everything before I decided to go with the Quicksilver exhaust (removed secondary Cats, Removed mufflers, removed silencers etc)..Despite all of the exhaust mods I tried I still wasn't satisfied with the sound..In hindsight I should just purchased the QS exhaust , it sounds insane! I love it.
My advice is save yourself the time and money and just bite the bullet.

I have the quicksilver exhaust installed on my 2019 svr (uk spec with GPF/OPF).
It has a great sound overall, but when cruising on the motorway/highway in auto/comfort mode, it drones between approx 1500-2000rpm (worst being at 1750rpm). It's pretty annoying. I'm looking at what I can do to fix that, worst case I might go back to the OEM exhaust (thank god I kept it...)

Hi Tesh,

So are you saying the Quick Silver svr exhaust 2015-2018 doesn't drone but there redesigned newer 2018 system does for newer models?
Sounds like you have some experience here. Thanks for the help bud

Hi, I cannot comment on the 2015-18 QS exhaust, one owner has told me it does NOT drone and he is very happy. The 2018/19- QS exhaust has valve control via Bluetooth controlled by your phone via an App. I met an SVR owner yesterday with a 2020 SVR & the QS exhaust - it sounded awesome, we went for a drive and I did NOT hear any drone. The car was driven with valves open and closed. When the valves are closed the car is very civil - a touch louder & more aggressive than stock, in fact with the valves closed it sounded like a stock SVR with the Resonator deleted - which i don't find loud at all. I loved the system, the app and I really like the round carbon tips. I placed the order yesterday, they were actually on back order so selling really well. If any one in the UK, wants to hear it - happy to meet, i'm in the Midlands - Birmingham. I also have a good QS dealer that will supply & install in Coventry - the owner of the company is the chap i met yesterday that has the QS on his SVR. I've done plenty of due diligence - spoken to multiple companies and SVR owners with the QS valvetronic exhaust and everyone seems happy but apparently the install is time consuming.

It’s poor form from Quicksilver. It makes sense because having spoken to them they wouldn’t commit that there was no drone with the valves open. They should have spent more time & R&D perfecting the system. You don’t get to the heights of Novitec, Akrapovic and Kreissieg by doing this. I have heard the build quality is hit and miss and the tail pipes are uneven!

Hey guys, sorry to bring up an old post. Might make sense to start a new one?
I had a weird sound coming from my exhaust, mainly on startup. Very tingy, kinda like it was a loose clamp or something. Brought it into the dealership and they said they found the issue, it was a valve on the exhaust that was getting intermittently caught? Don't know if it was the sport exhaust valve or not? Regardless, they said only way to fix solve this issue is to order and install a whole new exhaust. Which is crazy, but I guess makes sense.

My question is, how do I ensure that they order a 2018 vs a 2019+ exhaust with the fuel/gas particulate filter? I don't want the car to sound different/quieter. I've asked SA to look into it and he said it's the same as the 2018 exhaust. Short of me going into the parts department and asking. Are you guys aware of any way to check the parts? Is the GPF something that's separate from the exhaust? Hoping some of you here can give me some guidance?

Here is a video that shows how the valves open on the SVR exhaust. Couple ideas:

1.) drop the exhaust and rotate the valve to fully open and lock it in position?

2.) install the resonator and pipe section from a 2015-2017 SVR (around $1,000)? Part numbers are different for 2018+ so there must be changes internally.
