AFAIK, no. Only dealers, or LR specialized indy shops, can reset it by hooking up your car to their diagnostics software. Evidently the dealer forgot to do so. The RRS has a manual reset procedure detailed in the workshop manual using the trip reset button (and the manual reset is often disabled anyway, depending on the market), but I don't think it would work on the RR. I really appreciate it. What's funny is that when I got into my car after the service I noticed it and had my service advisor come out and bring my car around for them to reset as I waited. Looks like they did nothing. All they did was reset the mileage to zero and as soon as I left it started counting backwards again. So annoying.

Don't recall ever seeing on this forum the following procedure for resetting the service interval indicator yourself, here it is:

""With ignition turned off, press and hold LH instrument panel button. With button depressed, turn key to position I. Continue to hold for five seconds until "SIA reset" appears, then release the button. It will flash "reset SIA 3600 kms" and "Inspection". Press the button for another five seconds until "Reset" appears.

"Switch the ignition off."

Hope this works ok for you. Haven't had to try it myself.

 

Try putting your key in the number 2 position in ignition right before starting and keep it there for about 30 seconds this will reset some not all computers, also you can start your engine and turn steering wheel to right than left this will reset some computers in the car usually after los of power I.e. battery.

I used a slight varaiation of Norval's method
Ign. off press LH button (trip)
Hold until SIA Reset appears
Release Button
Press again until Reset SIA flashes
Releases Button
Press for another 5 sec. "SIA Reset" wil appear
Release Button
Switch Ign. off.

I just purchased a 2006 HSE this week (loving it!) and when I start the car, my display does not show anything about interval for the next service - just fasten seat belts. Does it only show when it gets closer to service time?

Yes. That is normal. It only should when you are getting close to a service period. If nothing shows, you are all set and ready to go. Only reason I wanted to reset mine was because my dealership forgot to after the normal, routine service.

Ended up taking it to the local dealership here in Tampa and they reset it for me. I don't know why Fort Lauderdale Land Rover couldn't do it.

I feel ya, ran into the same issue here. Service is at 2/2009 and oil is in the negative. Will have to get it done this week.
