I am contemplating buying a used 4.2 xkr exhaust back box and putting on a 4.2 supercharged Range Rover to try and achieve the same or similar sound. Can anyone see a problem with this or am I wasting my time? Assumed it should be straight forward as pretty much the same engine?

I'm not sure what a back box is... Also... there is a catback exhaust for the range rover made by magnaflow and it sounds nice. As for the 'back box' you'd have to go into more detail as to what you're talking about.

Backbox is Brit talk for the rear silencer/muffler Brad

Anywho, Dan, I would go with a custom exhaust. I think fitting a different exhaust not made for the car would be a pain. I'd do either a custom exhaust from a muffler shop, or do a premade catback.
