ok so i had my stock wheels put back on and the jerk pushed the driver side mirror in with his hand, i figured no big deal..but was concerned...i get home and the next day when i put it in reverse the mirror is not moving only the passenger side one, then shortly there after the pass mirror stopped moving when put in reverse, they still open and close ok...? could the retard at the tire shop have messed something up when he closed it manually? i parked in the visitor parking overnight and noticed the mirror was angled different the next day...im not sure what happened...HELP!

I imagine he's broken or shorted something inside, they are power fold for a reason. Did you pull him up on it when he did it? I would be expecting them to pay for a repair...

It seems strange the reverse dip feature would stop operating just because he pushed one of them in manually, though. I mean, the mirrors should be able to fold that way in case of impact and the power fold should just be a convenience, no? Are you sure the switches on the door are where they are supposed to be (don't know much about the 04 RR, but on some cars the mirror selector needs to be in a certain position - such as driver's side, middle, etc. - for the reverse dip to operate on one or both sides.) Maybe try saving their position with your memory seats to see if a "reboot" revives them?

I can't tell you how many times I have had people do that to the car I was driving when it has power mirrors... So annoying! I agree that the mirrors should be able to have that done with no problem, but should and do are to seperate things...

In my 06 only one mirror is supposed to dip. I bet yours is the same. I doubt that folding the mirror would damage anything you may want to check it again.
To be fair only my passenger mirror dips, I wish they both dipped as per the P38!
