Consider purchasing an L320 outside of your current state? Ever since I let that s/c SB w/tan interior "slip away", I've had a very difficult time trying to justify NOT finding another one just like it. Found two outside of WA and wanted to see everyone's option on buying from another out of state dealership. :thumb:

Purchased one out of state in August of this year a little glitch in getting tags/title but other than that great vehicle have already put 5000 miles on it. Have bought out of state before would not hesitate to do again

Bought mine out of state with no issues from a LR Dealership. Had to do a little research on getting the Temp Tag, and Paperwork straight but no issues.

i also purchased out of state, south florida, i am in louisiana. also problem with title transfer in louisiana, so paperwork from state-to-state can be a hassle. i purchased from a small, independent dealership, so paperwork was the problem. but otherwise, vehicle is very good purchase solid veh. small things i could not see in the pics, you must expect. veh had 50,000 mi., so the seats a little worn that i could not see, and the fabric was deteriorating on the pillars right by the windshield (common problem), but i accept these small issues. so dont forget to be anal about the title transfer and ask for many close up photos. dont forget your hauling/transport costs

Out of state purchase and inspections vary state to state. You are lucky in that Washington is a breeze. Pop down to the WSP inspection station by SeaTac with your sales paperwork and 5 minutes later you are set for the license office of your choice. THe "inspection" in this state is little more than comparing numbers and checking the VIN against a database.

Fellow Washingtonian chiming in. Appreciate it!

How did you guys feel about these vehicles? Thing that always gets me is that i'm not "physically" seeing, feeling, driving the vehicle to see any blemishes, deficits or pitfalls. Kind of a gamble wouldn't you guys say?

There is a 2011Sport GT at my local dealer. I don't know if you wanted just the Supercharged? I have heard not so good thing about Mission Viejo. If you are interested in the GT I can take a peeks for you.

The one at Mission Viejo looks nice, the advantage of buying a Vehicle that has grown up here in SoCal is that it probably hasn't seen much rain and probably no snow, unless the previous Owner has driven up to Big Bear in the winter.

I live about 20 minutes from there so let me know if you need any help.

No problem, let me know if you get serious, and if it's still there of course, it seems like they're there one minute and gone the next, there is a finite availability.

Then there's shipping, unless you drive down and pick it up, but from my experience, if you ship it, pick 2 out of 3:
1. Good
2. Fast
3. Cheap

Honestly, I've been on a pretty serious hunt for the past few months! It just happened that I found a SB with "tan" interior at one of the dealerships here in Washington. Figured i'd take a look at this "tan" interior. Turns out, that's the interior I WANT now, no longer the ebony. I'd probably fly down and pick it up. I've never even researched on shipment of vehicles in the CONUS. Do I just find a company?

Another thing to consider. You might be paying taxes if you drive it out the dealer lot (at least that's the practice here in AZ). You can fly in, seal the deal and have it shipped. In one instance where a friend bought from out of state (CA), the dealer drove the car to the nearest town across state border line and finalized the deal with no taxes.

Interesting. So in this instance, the. While is in VA or CA. Would I be applying their tax, or Washingtons?

You pay taxes based on the state you live in. I flew out to Chicago to pick mine up and drove it back to New York. Most dealers will work with you if you are coming from out of state.

temp tags will do. pay the taxes in the state you are buying, and they will write you a corresponding check of your sales tax to give to your local DMV.
