Hi

I ha recently purchased 16 plate range rover vogue and its in great condiiton part from one button on the cnetre console - The intelligent start stop button has had the printed logo worn off and it looks awful. I have rung a number of interior specialist but none are able to reapir it. I have looked for sticker replacements/cover up[s but cant find them for range rover. I ahve spoken to Land rover and the button cant be replaced individually, they would replace the entire centre console at a cost of c.£1000 ??

Does anyone have any advice on how I might reaplce or repair the button at a sensible cost ??

Realize this is a dated post but had similar issues for the Start/Stop button and a couple others that tend to wear quickly. Here is a link that has the Start/Stop label. Not many for LR but may try calling if others need something specific. Autobuttonrepair.com

Hi You can find stop start button in anodised finish on Aliexpress.com.
Just type in L405 Range Rover Vogue, see what comes up.
Cheers!

Followup to my prior response, Autobuttonrepair.com will make any replacement label that is not listed also. I asked for the Eco Stop button label In addition to the Start/Stop ignition.

I got a red start/stop button (metal stick on) on eBay. Look OEM and ads a little sportiness to it.

Yep I believe that’s the one I got. That red one with the surround trim. Except on eBay. Came from China so took a long time. Looks really good installed. It’s a stick on...not a button replacement so you Have to make sure you wipe the area down with isopropyl to make sure it sticks. I haven’t had a problem there. Also it’s not transparent but I didn’t recall if the Oem start/stop lettering lit up anyway

they do light up... which is why I passed on a replacement stick on. I'm going to try one of the stickers soon. I bought the physical new button assembly but then looked at the service procedure and it's wanting you to pull part of the dash apart to replace and I got lazy.

If someone finds a metal (or hard plastic) stick on like the red one that has the letters transparent so they still light up let us know. I don’t want just a paper sticker.

I know on my M5 I replaced it with a red button but it was an actual replacement button that snapped in and this style let the light shine through So the start/stop still lights up. That install was easy the button retainer switch just pops out then you take off the trim ring and pop out the button to replace

On AliExpress I found a replacement that replaces the entire button and is clear on the letters so the letters will light up like OEM but it’s advertised to the evoque and discovery. Emailed the guy and he just repeated what I said. It looks the same for our L405 but I didn’t purchase. Not much to spend if it doesn’t fit but I already have the stick on that I’m fine with for now. If anyone wants to try it and report back it’s there.
