Hi All,

Mounted my new, secondary compressor over the weekend. Went reasonably well, pictures to follow.

BUT - the new compressor has two wires - red and black, ie no thermal cut out signal wire.

How do I splice these two wires into the connector?

I need to explain - I have used a spare OEM connector block with its three wires - green, black and orange. I know that I need to earth the orange one to fool the system that the thermal cut out is closed.

----- Which of the green and black is live? Is it the green one?

-----Therefore, the other black one would be negative.

------Do I earth the orange one to the car body, or can I splice it to the negative power cable?

I hope this is clear!

In your case and in mine with an aftermarket comp like mine.

Green = live
Black = earth
Orange = earth

Merci bien!

BUT - can I then join the black and orange together physically, or do I earth the orange and keep the black separate?

Super!

Would you believe that I woke up in the night thinking about it?

If I connected the green to the orange .........
