My first full winter will be coming up this year in Alberta......like it cold! ..... question is do LR or RR owners in Alberta or Canada for that matter run winter tires? I am planning on a few trips to Jasper, and northern BC, will I need winter tires or will All Season's be suitable?
If need winter tires what do you recommend for 20" RR SC wheels?

I'm in St. Albert in Alberta.. I ran the first half of the last winter with all season tires on 20" on a VW Touareg V8, then changed to Hankook winter tires around Mid December, I did find that they did make a fair bit of difference.

just bite the bullet and get some winter tires..... if you just stayed in the city you could maybe get away with it but since your heading into the mountains where you get lots of snow and most times it takes a while for the roads to get
even cleared.

Also, when its -45c, you need a soft compound tire winter tire.

so whats bringing you north of the border?

Thanks guys, appreciate the input, very helpful.

I was relocated to Edmonton by my company, and have been thoroughly enjoying the experience very much! A wonderful part of the world indeed.
