I for one like the side steps. I wish I had them after my knee surgery. My 5'1" tall wife wishes we had them...and I'm sure my daughter would appreciate them when she's able to walk also.

the running boards are a wonderful thing for my five foot nothing granny. also great for saving your compressor by not dropping to access mode everything someone wants in and out.

as far as tinting I took mine off as the back was rather digged up from 10+ years of camping gear, dogs, lumber, garge sale finds etc. The increased visability and clarity is wonderful. It's also more in keeping my fat old fart status instead of looking ghetto pimp. 8)

Want me to bend some 1 3/4" tubing and weld to the sliders you know you want mate? ;)
Make @ a 2 1/2" step on the side of the sliders....Real nice for getting in and out me thinks.....
I vote for leaving the tint on myself.

I tint everything. Not only does it keep it cooler in the summer but people can't see you pickin your nose at the stop light `) , but it does keep passers by from easily seeing what’s inside.

Thanks for your opinions,as for the side steps(I dont think they would be any good for rock sliders) I suffer with my back and legs so they are a god send and my ma`s only 5 foot in her shoes so when I take her off its a real help I`m more into functionality than looks now maybe if I was 20 years younger ,regards the tinting it is good for security and will be good for the dogs if we ever get a summer its just I like them without ,I think I`ll take it off the rear doors and leave it on the luggage area and rear hatch does anyone know if the hairdrier way is any good for stripping it off?

When I talked to my tint guy while getting my last car done, I asked him about removing the film on my Range because it's going to need to be redone soon. IIRC, he told me it was a huge PITA, and that it just took time, a bunch of razor blades, more time, a spray bottle with 50/50 vinegar and water (I could be mistaken on the ingredients) and more time.

I'm pretty sure my rear window glass is colored.

I had to get a replacement once and it was the same, no film, but tinted. When I was cleaning up the broken glass from the old window there was no sign of tint that could be removed. Not to mention when my hand was crashing through the glass, there was nothing keeping the glass from flying everywhere.

I have seen RRs (i assume from different markets) on this board with all clear glass...not sure which situation you might be in.

I like it, would like it done to mine - we have a Ford Galaxy which came with factory tinted windows and they're great. Local place advertises £250 for all the rears (in the UK there is quite strict laws on the front and front side windows - and to be honest would prefer the visibility there anyway)
