It doesn’t make sense to me why this is only a one off model. Assuming 2020 is the last year of the supercharged 8, they could offer either an Ingenium or BMW replacement engine and keep the same name for the 2021 model. I am torn whether this vehicle will hold its value because of its uniqueness or be a bad longer term investment.

When a supply chain contract expires manufacturers have no choice but source parts from another supplier or design their own. JLR has been far too dependent on Ford for far too long.

TaTa knew exactly when the Ford 5L supply contract was ending. TaTa is not some Podunk little company with limited resources. They have been around since 1868, have over 702K employees doing business and manufacturing in over 100 countries. Their revenue was over $110B last year...yes that is dollars not rupees.8-|=
