Had my car up on ramps tonight to do a bit of preventative maintenance with a transmission fluid change. I had a look under the car to see what I needed. Slide out. I hear 'bang' Pshhhhhhhhhhhhhht. Front left of the car drops to the bump stops. Big split in the air bag. I soon put some axle stands under the car after that.
Also when I did the fluid change I got 4.75 litres out and 5.75 litres in. The fluid looked very good for 75000 but one of the sump bolts was a hex head. I think it's been changed before. Not a bad thing I guess.
Now on the hunt for a reasonably priced air strut. Why does no one remanufacture them in the UK?

I've got a 1972 ford Torino. Its way more reliable than the Range Rover. heh. Nuts and bolts technology I guess.
